"State Anti-Fraud AI": an application to combat fraud

China's Ministry of Public Security has announced the launch of a new mobile application, "State Anti-Fraud AI," which is designed to significantly improve the effectiveness of the fight against telecommunications and Internet fraud.

An innovative approach to protection

Developed under the guidance of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Public Security and independently created by the Shanghai Public Security Bureau, the app uses advanced technologies, including large-scale language models, multi-modal models, and agent technology, to provide citizens with a powerful tool to detect and prevent fraudulent schemes.

How does the "State Anti-Fraud AI" work?

Users can enter descriptions of suspicious scenarios into the app, and the system will analyze them, identify fraudulent schemes, and provide typical examples. The app is able to analyze fraudulent methods from various angles — through text, voice, and video — and suggest effective protection strategies.

Key features of the application:

  • AI-intelligent question-answer: When a user asks a question, the system provides answers from various aspects, such as fraud risk analysis, fraud type identification, and prevention recommendations. Video examples are also included, allowing users to learn anti-fraud information and assess risky scenarios in real time.
  • Anti-fraud news: The application integrates the information resources of the National Anti-Fraud Center and the Shanghai New Media Matrix "803". Information on current events in the field of anti-fraud, warnings about common types of fraud and analysis of typical schemes are regularly updated. The news is presented in the format of "text + image + short video" so that users can learn about new forms of fraud in a timely manner.
  • Anti-fraud dictionary: The application contains electronic versions of the “Guide to Preventing Fraud in the Telecommunications and Network Technologies Industry” and the “Guide for All Citizens to Prevent Fraud.” Users can systematically study anti-fraud information by browsing by category, searching by keywords, or using the voice reading function.

Accessibility

The "Government Anti-Fraud AI" is now available for download in all major mobile app stores. It also works as a mini-app in popular messengers WeChat and Alipay, which makes it as accessible as possible to a wide range of users.

This initiative is an important step in increasing the level of informatization and intellectualization of work to prevent telecommunications and Internet fraud, providing citizens with a reliable tool to protect their finances and personal information.
