Three key EcoFlow innovations at Intersolar 2026

The largest European exhibition, Intersolar, has ended in Munich, where more than fifty teams from different countries presented their own innovations for autonomous energy supply.

From virtual power plants and smart grids to energy storage and management technologies, this is creating a strong trend towards using renewable energy sources to power both private households and businesses.

In recent years, the EcoFlow team has been actively implementing solutions for autonomous energy supply. This time, the brand expanded its product portfolio by introducing powerful OCEAN 2 systems, the updated STREAM 2 line, and the Power Andes battery storage system.

Using free solar energy helps private owners and businesses not only experience complete energy autonomy, but also save on bills. EcoFlow offers smart, safe and easy-to-use solutions that contribute to the consumer energy transformation.

At Intersolar 2026, the team introduced the new EcoFlow OCEAN 2 stationary system line, a powerful upgrade to the previous generation PowerOcean and PowerOcean Plus. With its all-in-one design, OCEAN 2 combines an inverter, batteries and intelligent energy management system, simplifying installation and saving space in the room.

Among the new technical capabilities: 

– single-phase and three-phase systems with a capacity of 12 kW to 15 kW and the possibility of expanding the capacity to 60 kWh for both modifications. The maximum capacity of solar panels has increased to 24 kW;

– long-lasting LFP batteries with a lifespan of over 10,000 cycles, outperforming previous standard battery types for long-term energy storage;

– 0 ms backup power switchover speed is an absolute competitive advantage on the market, ensuring completely uninterrupted operation of devices during sudden power outages;

– modern security systems — IP66 protection level, arc flash protection (AFCI) and surge protection protect the home and become an important criterion for the system's operation under any conditions.

With OCEAN 2, homeowners can harvest excess solar energy, reducing grid dependency. It is a clean, efficient and reliable solution for today’s whole-home electricity needs.

STREAM 2 is an ambitious step in the upgrade scenario of the previous series. The new line is backward compatible with the first generation units, so users can easily upgrade their existing systems with the new products.

Technical specifications of STREAM 2:

– capacity: 5 kWh per main module with the possibility of expansion with additional batteries of 3 kWh and 5 kWh;

– battery: up to 10,000 charge-discharge cycles, which is equal to 15 years of uninterrupted operation;

– output power: 3 kW (if connected to the network: (grid-tied) according to the specification - 800 W / 3 kW);

– use of solar energy: 4 MPPT modules can disconnect solar panels with a total power of up to 5 kW, distributed over 4 inputs of 1,25 kW, maximum 60 V per input;

– ergonomics: weight 45,4 kg, dimensions 295 × 489 × 298 mm, IP65 protection, noise level <30 dB.

The portfolio includes the products STREAM 3000, STREAM 5000, STREAM AC 5000.

The STREAM AC 5000 is almost identical to the 5000 model, but with a lower maximum charging power of 3 kW (instead of 4 kW) and a slightly reduced weight of 44,6 kg.

Commercial energy storage systems

At Intersolar 2026, EcoFlow showcased a new line of industrial and commercial energy storage systems, the A Series – EcoFlow Power Andes. These are high-capacity battery storage systems with a modular architecture for rapid capacity expansion depending on customer needs.

The first product in the Alps line, the 20 kWh batteries feature IP66 protection and a multi-level safety system. Alps is certified to IEC 62619 and meets UL 9540A testing requirements.

Integration with the OASIS 3.0 intelligent energy platform allows you to optimize energy use taking into account tariffs, facility needs and solar generation, as well as support integration with virtual power plants and third-party energy management platforms.

By the way, digital technologies that are changing the way solar energy systems work are another focus of Intersolar this year. Neural networks and sophisticated software allow us to learn patterns in energy consumption in real time. These systems automatically regulate energy storage, its use and interaction with the grid to make it as efficient as possible.

In this direction, EcoFlow offers Intelligent HEMS — the “brain” of the home energy system, which controls the production, storage and consumption of electricity in real time. Homeowners can use this technology to:

– control energy consumption throughout the house and, if necessary, optimize it;

– automated energy storage in batteries and energy distribution (use excess electricity during peak consumption hours);
