Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine together with the Ministry of Education and Science (MES) successfully summed up of the large-scale 2025/2026 academic year for the state educational ecosystem "Mriya". The platform initiated by the President of Ukraine officially became the central element of the digitalization of secondary education, uniting over 630 thousand active users (teachers, students, and parents) in late spring.
Currently, Mriya has been implemented free of charge in 3,860 educational institutions in all 24 regions of Ukraine, which is a quarter of the total number of schools in the country. The platform has allowed administrations to significantly save budget funds and make a seamless transition from outdated paper journals to flexible cloud-based alternatives.
🧱 Eliminating bureaucracy: millions of ratings and AI pilots
Mriya's digital infrastructure has radically reduced the administrative burden on teachers, freeing up time for live communication and individual work with students. The scale of the system for the year is reflected in fundamental statistics:

Grading. Over the year, teachers assigned 235 million grades, with 45 million of them calculated automatically by the system (teachers only checked and verified final thematic or semester scores).

Educational process. 32,5 million lesson topics were entered into the system, 58,5 million missed classes were recorded, and 22 million homework assignments were assigned.

Artificial intelligence in action. An integrated AI test generator has been successfully tested in 160 pilot schools across the country. The neural network module allows teachers to create unique interactive tasks on the topic of the lesson in a matter of minutes and instantly check the results. Over 60 such tests were generated during the experiment.

Interaction within the triangle “School - Student - Parents” has reached a new level of transparency. During the year, students checked their grades in the application 28,5 million times and opened homework 26,9 million times. Parents also actively kept their finger on the pulse, viewing their children's performance statistics 13,5 million times.

An important b2c upgrade was the launch of the after-school education section: since last fall, the platform's catalog has been expanded by 6,000 verified clubs and sections (from robotics and programming to dance and sports), which parents can easily search for by their child's interests or geolocation.

Gamification of the process: a motivational b2c system for students. For academic success, students will receive internal digital rewards, which can later be exchanged for real gifts from partners: books, movie tickets, games, or specialized professional IT courses.
A pilot launch of the "Mriya" functionality for preschool institutions (kindergartens) will also begin in the summer. The strategic goal of the Ministry of Digital and the Ministry of Education and Science is to create an end-to-end digital system that will accompany a Ukrainian throughout his life: from kindergarten and school to university and the concept of Lifelong Learning. The project is being implemented in partnership with the EGAP Program, funded by Switzerland through the Eastern Europe Foundation.
