Google warns of scam calls to Pixel watches

A new AI-powered feature plays a loud beep at the start of a call and every couple of minutes after. Notifications, beeps, and vibrations will appear in cases where there is a high probability of fraud. You can ignore the notification if you know it is not fraud. Try turning on fraud detection in settings.

There are a few caveats, as the call fraud detection feature only works on watches pixel watch 2 or 3. They also need to be connected via Bluetooth to a Pixel 9 or later phone. This feature is currently only available in the US and for English-language calls.

Google first introduced the Phone Picker feature in beta last November. It's currently available on the Pixel 9 and newer, but this addition lets you see notifications without even taking out your phone.
