Ukrainian CDMA Operator Subscriber Base Rises

The subscriber base of Ukrainian CDMA operator International Telecommunications Company (ITC) increased to 25,500 users in 2005 from about 8,200 in 2004, Vsevolod Volovik, ITC’s marketing department director, said Friday.

In 2005, ITC’s average revenue per user (ARPU) amounted to U.S. $35.86, he said.

In 2006, ITC plans to start commercial operations in the Lviv, Ternopil, Zakarpatska, Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi regions, he said.

Earlier in December 2005, ITC obtained a 7-year license to operate in these regions.

ITC, established in 1996, currently operates in Kiev and the Kiev Region, as well as in Vinnytsya, Chernihiv and Zhytomir, under the trademark CDMA Ukraine.
